Description

The Glen of the Downs was truly a place of serenity on this wonderful October sunny day. The Autumn forest landscape scene in this small but beautiful Wicklow woodland was a delight on the senses. The building commonly known as the Octagon due to it’s shape sits on the edge of the forest. The Glen of the Downs was part of the Bellevue Estate and the now ruined Octagon structure was once used as a hunting lodge and tea rooms.
