Description
Accepted for the 2012 RHA Annual exhibition, this fine art urban landscape of the Blackrock swimming baths is really special for me. It entails three different stories which contrast each other perfectly. The first story introduces you to the Blackrock Dart station where you can see showing life and movement in the now. On the contrary, the second part of the portrait takes you to the forsaken swimming bath covered in tattered plasterwork and decaying under the pressure of time. Lastly, the portrait turns your gaze to the sea. The vastness of the ocean makes you realise how mighty nature is.
