Shot on a gorgeous April evening, this Blackrock sunset photo is really a sunset photo of Dublin showing the beauty and tranquility of Dublin Bay. Photographed from a small quay near Blackrock Dart Station, the rusty pole near the quay had always attracted my attention. I always admired it’s determination to endure even though it was almost rusted through. I was sure to get a great shot from this location. The simplicity of the setting fascinated me. Though the pole has fallen gracefully after succumbing the fatal blows from the rust, it’s beauty lives on in this peaceful seascape photo. The photo is part of my Duality series.
