Description
Part of my series on Skellig Michael and an example of early Christian architecture, the beehive huts were built by the Skellig Monks apparently 1500 years ago. Indeed known for their beauty, they were once the abode of the monks. Now, they just add a strange romanticism in the ambience of Skellig Rock. The organic architecture of the huts complements the rugged landscape of the island and offers a surreal experience. Well, the gigantic Skellig rock formations are impressive to watch.
