Yew Forest Kerry Killarney National Park
“Rooted, we witness, and still we dance. Spring comes.”
– SJ Mannion
I visited the wonderful Killarney National Park in County Kerry at Spring time to photograph the quite unique yew forest, which is located near Muckross House. Yew trees are very rare in Ireland. They have an unusual appearance and produce what seem to be a huge amount of branches for what is quite a small tree. The more mature trees have deep ridges running vertically up the trunks which gives them a lovely depth. It is a 360º panoramic photo and you can just see Muckross lake in the background.
