Woodstock Gardens located in the south east of Kilkenny just outside the picturesque village of Inistioge. The Gardens are home to many fine specimen trees from Asia and South America in particular. A number of these trees are recognised as champion trees due to their size and make perfect subjects for fine art photography. I had checked out the location previously and was blown away by the number of enormous and statuesque tress of all shapes and sizes. The Japanese Thuja trees (in the foreground) and the American Redwood trees (in the background) are both stunning and enormous. Truly beautiful to see.  It was shortly after the bad storms in the spring of 2014 and it was sad to see the number of beautiful trees which were blown down. Their mark gone forever. Nothing is permanent and life goes on.
