Wexford Slobs wexford bay coastal seascape photo
“Misnomers: rank and file.”
– SJ Mannion
Situated on the South Eastern end of the Slaney region in Wexford Bay, lies the Wexford Slobs, an internationally renowned wild bird sanctuary. This timber structure is located along the beach where the slobs meet the Irish Sea at Wexford Bay. The area itself photographically speaking was not very interesting to me. However I loved the decaying character of these timbers. The sea was extremely calm and this was enhanced by the long exposure in the coastal seascape photo.
“The Wexford Slobs 1” received a Diamond award in 2011 IPPA photographer of the year awards.
