Portsalon Ballymastocker Beach

I visit Portsalon almost every year. It is a lovely beach in a wonderful part of the country and it is easy to access other parts of Donegal from there. I stayed in a chalet right beside this pier. I often stood on the wall but it was at night that the composition really spoke to me. I wanted to create mood similar to a scene from a movie. It was about 2 in the morning when I took this image. While shooting, some local men drove onto the pier for a short while. Their car lights actually added to the scene as they mimiced the shape of the pier.
