Kinnagoe Beach photo Inishowen peninsula
“Flightless, fossilized, wings of Icarus or some other beast brought to earth.”
– SJ Mannion
This photo is also taken from the beautiful Kinnagoe beach during a trip to Donegal. It is located in a lovely secluded bay near Greencastle on the eastern side of the Inishowen peninsula in Donegal, Ireland. The rocks really looked like something from another world. I love the way the 3 main rocks in the foreground suck your eye into the storm and rays of sunshine to complete the scene. The light was wonderful on the day. The rock on the left was typical of many of the rocks in the area which had a mixture of pitch black and a silver metallic appearance. They appeared as if they were painted!
