I took this moonlight photo of the Coronation Plantation in the Wicklow mountains in early September. The Coronation Plantation is a lovely location in County Wicklow and it really came alive in the clear moonlight that night. It was beautiful but I was plagued with midges! They were everywhere.. and relentless. It was a real struggle to take the shot to be honest. They were going into my ears, my eyes, my mouth. Everywhere! I lit the trees in the foreground with a large low output LED light and the exposure was about 4 minutes. It was worth the effort though.
