Cascade Wood County Cork
“Fretwork and filigree: form illuminate.”
– SJ Mannion
I read about Cascade Wood in my very useful forest reference book Stopping by Woods. Cascade wood is a small woodland, which lies in the West Cork Gaeltacht within the village of Ballyvourney, between the towns of Macroom and Killarney, Co. Kerry. Parts of it are quite overgrown and a samba dancer I will never be but it was worth it in the end, I found this lovely location but had to wait a few hours before the light came good. The flowing forms of the tree on the right compliments the large statuesque trees on the left and the starburst luckily appeared in the perfect location.
