Bolands Mill Grand Canal Dock
“Corpus Callosum: white matter, grey, almost gold. Internal. Pathways. The colours of bone.”
– SJ Mannion
Bolands Mill Grand Canal Dock is a site of major historical importance in Ireland. It was one of a number of locations in the area seized by the 3rd Dublin Battalion of the Irish Volunteers led by Eamon De Valera during the 1916 Easter Rising. Boland’s Bakery was the Headquarters for the Battalion.
Bolands Mill, Dublin No. 3 was part of my winning portfolio to become the 2016 Fine Art Photographer of the year in the National IPPA awards.
