Description
A name etched in the pages of history, the Bolands Mill has been an interim part of Irish culture. One of the several locations subjugated by the 3rd Dublin Battalion of Irish Volunteers under the command of Eamon De Valera during the 1916 Easter Rising, the Boland’s bakery served as the headquarters for the battalion.. Despite its historical significance, it offers an uncovered beauty that motivated me to capture this fine art photograph. Well, it was one of the photographs in my portfolio that helped me to win the 2016 Fine Art Photographer of the year in the prestigious National IPPA awards.
