Taken on a November morning just after sunrise, this black and white photo unveils the scenic splendour of Thornhill Strand in County Mayo perfectly. With the gorgeous Croagh Patrick showing its presence in the background, the portrait captures the essence of this place perfectly. Though I prefer to capture the sunrise photos in colour, this photo was always destined to be in black and white. The gracious movement of the Dune grass in the wind helped me to capture the contrast between the light and shadow perfectly.
