One of the first two photographs that I shot in this place, the Glendalough Upper Lake in County Wicklow mesmerised me immediately with its scenic splendour. I arrived at the scene moments after sunset to witness the most scintillating sight. As the sun showered it’s rays on the mountains surrounding the lakes, the warm rays of the sun painted the mountains in vibrant colours while frost lurked in shadows covering the places where sunlight did not hit. The sight was magnificent. The contrast between the light and dark added a special allure to it. Available in fine art prints, it is one of my favourite works.
